RoadSoft 6.8.6 Update


Description

The RoadSoft 6.8.6 update is now available.  If you already have RoadSoft 6.8 or newer, you can download the update below or via Tools/Check for Updates in RoadSoft

This update includes:

  • Migration to Framework version 7a
  • Changes to support TAMC Investment Reporting requirements
  • LDC Guardrail data collection
  • Updated Bridge and Crash Data (thru 2007)
  • Route Builder to create a route in order to update any road data, including the ability to save a project.
  • Project Builder to create a Project consisting of a network of roads.

This update is for users with RoadSoft version 6.5 or newer. This is a cumulative release for RoadSoft and includes all updates from 6.5.0 through 6.8.6.

This update is compatible with LDC version 6.8.6 or later.  The LDC patch is available here

Please Note, if you are running version 6.7 or earlier, this update is only available on CD.  Users running RoadSoft versions 6.7 or earlier will need to request a CD containing Basemap Framework data for migration.  The CD also includes updated Bridge, Crash, and Basemap data.

To request a RoadSoft CD including this update, send an e-mail to roadsoft@mtu.edu.  If your agency has never used RoadSoft, you must fax a request on your agency letterhead to 906-487-3409.


 

For users already running version 6.8 or later, an update is available below. 

The 6.8 6 update includes:

  • Added ability to customize lookup tables for Road, Culvert, Driveway, Guardrail, and Sign modules.
  • Added dialog box to Roadsoft Import to allow user to choose which data type(s) (Road, Culvert, Sign, etc.) in an export will be imported.
  • Added the ability to save a project for a selected network of roads (Project Builder).
  • Added the ability to create a route in order to update any road data, including the ability to save a project (Route Builder).
  • Added TAMC Surface Condition Trend Chart to Asset Management->Pavement Management menu.

The 6.8 5 update includes:

  • Added Group By option to the [RSM]Last Rating Entered Report.
  • Fixed bug to not run optimization when budget amounts are left zero and Use is set to yes
  • Fixed bug when printing strategy reports with long names
  • Fixed bug in LDC import that cut UserCulvertNo to only 10 characters
  • Fixed bug in MapInfo which would not show info for external shape layers.
  • Fixed bug in MapInfo which would not show info for external shape layers.

The 6.8 4 update includes:

  • Added Right of Way field to Road and Crash filters
  • Added Right of Way field to Road Legends
  • Added Crash Summary printed report for intersections
  • DRIVEWAY MODULE: Add None as a culvert type in the driveway module
  • CRASH MODULE:  Made Vehicle Direction fields editable

The 6.8 3 update includes:

  • Added the ability to automatically load external files when loading a saved view.
  • Added AADT to Road Legends (range).
  • Fixed Sign report exports: export would be broken because of sign images.

The 6.8.2 update includes:

  • Changes to support TAMC data collection process
  • SAFETY ANALYSIS: Added Curve Ranking Analysis
  • CRASH MODULE:  Added function to download/view UD-10 images (for 2004-2006 crashes only).

The 6.8.1 update includes:

  • Fixed bug exporting to LDC when database contained saved Guardrail network
  • Fixed bug migrating Linear PMarks
